COMSOL Multiphysics 5.0 Final

The program for finite-element analysis of complex scientific and engineering problems. COMSOL Multiphysics package can simulate almost all the physical processes described by differential equations private. The program contains a variety of solvers that can help you quickly handle even the most complex tasks and a simple structure of the app provides the ease and flexibility of use. The solution to any problem is based on numerical solution of partial differential equations by the finite element method. Range of tasks that are amenable to modeling in the program is extremely broad. A set of special modules in the program covers almost all spheres of application of partial differential equations.

COMSOL Multiphysics (Femlab) – simulation package that solves systems of nonlinear differential equations by the finite element method in one, two and three dimensions. It allows to solve problems from the field of electromagnetism, theory of elasticity, dynamics of liquids and gases and chemical gas dynamics. Femlab also provides an opportunity to solve the problem in a mathematical formulation ( in the form of a system of equations) and physical (the choice of physical models, eg models of the diffusion process). Of course in any case will be solved system of equations, and the difference lies only in the possibility to use a physical system of units and physical terminology. In the so-called physical mode you can also use pre-defined equations for the majority of the phenomena taking place in science and engineering such as heat transfer and electricity, theory of elasticity, diffusion, wave propagation and fluid flow.

Three new modules Comsol:
• Nonlinear Structural Materials Module to simulate materials with nonlinear structure
• Pipe Flow Module for refined modeling flows in pipelines
• Corrosion Module for modeling of corrosion processes. COMSOL platform now offers 30 separate modules for the phenomena of the narrow physical domains.

Simulation module materials with nonlinear structure to simulate structural mechanics and MEMS-technology allows you to save in models with a high degree of non-linearity: previously, when building large models, users had to forcibly move the materials with a linear structure. Now even at high temperatures can perform calculations for elastoplastic, viscoelastic, and creeping hyperelastic materials. All these new means of calculations based on a new set of basic physical laws, which can be expanded by the users.

The Pipe Flow module Module should interest engineers who design pipe networks and sewage systems for turbines, ventilation systems, chemical plants, and oil and gas industry. Simulation of processes is performed on the basis of one-dimensional basic flow model, taking into account traffic flow, heat transfer and mass, hydraulic phenomena and acoustics. The results of simulations in the Pipe Flow module can be integrated with 2D - and 3D-models of other network components, computing the rate of flow of gas or liquid, changes of pressure and temperature in pipes and channels.

The corrosion module allows to simulate the process, because of which the gross world product is 3% less than they could. The new module allows to calculate the dynamics of corrosion in the coastal plants, ships and submarines, aerospace, railroad and trucking industry. Special interfaces for simulation of electrochemical processes leading to corrosion, allow the calculation of physical effects associated with galvanic, stomach and contact corrosion.

As to the new features of modelling, it is worth to point to the new mechanism, which excludes from the grid of control points unnecessary geometric details. Imported grid can be grouped in new areas and boundaries, which is particularly useful for setting the boundary conditions and material properties in the experiment. Supported by experiments run on a range for many parameters at once – you can specify one, two or more parameters can adjust the individual parameters or whole sets.

Visualization runs on a range of parameters to include in a single result all the resulting figures, and calculations may occur with the use of parallel computing. Simulation module electrical phenomena AC/DC Module now supports machines with three-dimensional modeling of the rotation. For example, in the model of brush DC motor can calculate the inductance, coil current, axial torque and angle of rotation of the shaft at each point.

How to fix the problem:
1. If there is a problem with the license (when installing or starting) and you work through remote desktop (remote desktop) try to use Radmin.
2. If in the main window displays nothing or program hangs at the stage of constructing the grid, then try changing Options -> Preferences -> Graphics -> Rendering to something else (by default there is OpenGL, so you usually need to change DirectX ... can and Software but it's too slow)
3. If, instead of Russian-language labels on graphs drawn only squares, the tree problem it is necessary to choose the top element (root) and its properties, in the Font group to change the default on something you like, such as Verdana works well.

System requirements: All Windows from XP SP3 and Server2003 SP2 to Windows 8.1 and Server 2008 R2, Linux (on kernel 2.6.18 and newer, and GNU C Library version 2.8 or later), MacOS from 10.7 to 10.10
1 Gb memory (but better 2 or more), 1-4 Gb hard drive, processor Pentium4, Athlon or newer
